Winter is coming and that means icy roads, heavy snowfall, and the common cold. Use this blog as a guide to help you prepare for the winter ahead.

Practice Safe Driving
Make sure you’re ready for driving in harsh conditions. Take your car for maintenance and put winter tires on it. Maintain a safe distance between you and the vehicle in front of you. Pay extra attention to the vehicles around you and give yourself plenty of room for turns and stops. Keep an emergency kit in your car in case you find yourself in certain situations.

Prepare for Heavy Snowfall
The winters in Alberta can be extreme. Sometimes that means communities are left without utilities. Gather supplies in case you are left without power. Supplies should include basic needs such as water, a change, of clothes, and medication.

Stay Healthy
The simplest way to stay healthy is to wash your hands. Increase your vitamin C intake as well. It is one of the most powerful immune boosting vitamins available. You should be drinking 6-8 glasses of water a day as well.
